La Bergerie
La Bergerie was once a sheepfold and thanks to a lot of care and love, it has become a four person charming little cottage having lost none of its original perigourdin features. The ground floor consists of a bright kitchen (equipped with a four ring hob, multifunction oven/microwave, dishwasher and all the necessary kitchenware) leading to the small bunk bedroom.
Three steps then lead to the living area complete with antique furniture. This room opens onto the south facing terrace, a private suntrap which makes breakfasts pure moments of bliss.
On the first floor, an open mezzanine accommodates the double bedroom, and the separate bathroom and toilet. La Bergerie is part of the original buildings surrounding the courtyard; it offers views on the gardens, and the tennis court.
Our stay at Domaine de Cournet Haut was just perfect! The whole place has a sense of serenity and calm and we felt relaxed the minute we arrived. It's an incredible location, close to some of the highlights of the Dordogne. Our accommodation was a lovely house which had the most fantastic view......
Just returned from a wonderful few days at Domaine de Cournet Haute! We were wonderfully hosted by Alan and Fanny who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. They are outstanding hosts and the accommodation they provide is simply stunning!.....
